Bild 3 Picture 66

Yes, this is possible! But beware: This is experimental - use at your own risk...

With the support of AppleScript by FoneConnector it is possible to monitor your iPhone (and many more compatible mobile phones) through BluePhoneElite 2. Here‘s how to do this ...

Prerequisites:
  • First, set up AppleScript like it is described in the configurations section.

  • Get BluePhoneElite 2 and install it. Make sure you have the latest version (at least 2.2.1)

  • You need an iPhone with iPhone OS 3 or newer and Bluetooth enabled (may work with iPhone OS 2.2.1 but we didn't test it)

Important preparations before following the outlined steps in the movie (link below):

1. General

Turn off any other active Bluetooth devices nearby, except your iPhone and your Mac!

2. On your iPhone

Go to Settings -> General -> Bluetooth

Turn Bluetooth on

Delete all existing pairings (this is important!) ...

...by clicking on the small blue arrow and selecting »Forget this Device«:

Delete all existing pairings (this is important!) ...

Make sure, the options below are checked:

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any problems in pairing the iPhone with your Mac or BluePhoneElite 2 reliably, check the above steps and required software vesions, try it again, ignore warnings while pairing and continue ... and read the BluePhoneElite 2 forums.

If all that doesn't help, then hope that Apple releases an update to the iPhone OS which has better and more reliable Bluetooth support.

Happy experimenting!-)
